HaRMA – International Seminar
Salvatore Gioveni (Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles) created and led the HarMA© – Harmony and Music Analysis – International Seminar Event and HarMA+ project. The goal was to bring together the Music Theory faculties (Harmony, Music Analysis, …) in one place to discuss the organization and structure of their Home Institutions, as well as to share their experiences in Educational and Pedagogical Practices in these fields. It provided a platform to exchange and pass on teaching methods, innovative methodologies, and challenges encountered in these courses through presentations and training sessions.
The topics also focused on internationalization and digitalization tools, modernizing and strengthening the Music Theory courses in HMEIs. Three days were dedicated to sharing experiences, lectures, training sessions, cultural tours, and networking! The Home Institution supported these three days through the Erasmus+ Training Mobility Program (STT), with a warm welcome from the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles and the Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Gdańsku.
The HarMA+ Project received support from the Erasmus+ Programme, the Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Gdańsku in Gdańsk, the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) in Tallinn, the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC) in Brussels, the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, the Belgian branch of the European Agency for Education and Formation (AEF), the Belgian Academy for Research and High Education (ARES), the European Association of Conservatories (AEC), and the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI).
